The Nursery is open in term time only and run alongside Newtown Primary term dates.

Early Years Education Funding

All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to universal funding: 15 hours of free childcare per week, during term time. This is available to every child, the term after they turn 3 and is regardless of family income or circumstances.

In addition, many families can also access extended funding: up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time depending on parental work status and household income.

At Newtown Nursery, we offer a choice of how you use your funding:

Funding options available:

30-hour working entitlement

• maximum hours of 30 hours per week over 38 weeks (Shaldon School term time dates only), or

15-hour entitlement

•  maximum hours of 15 hours per week or
