I’ve been teaching at Newtown now for 7 years and in the Exeter area for 14 years. Newtown has such a special feeling about it; the diverse nature of the school brings vibrancy and difference and reminds me of my first years in teaching in London. The school has a great community sense who come together to celebrate the children in the school.

 

I feel privileged to be teaching year 5 and 6 again this year as it gives me great feeling to watch children develop such independence and character as they reach the end of their primary school life. I feel passionate about developing life-long learners, especially in Maths, as this is my area of expertise.

 

My home life is busy with two young children and a dog. I love to go out for moorland walks and spend time with family and friends.
